Packing Supplies

Blue Bins offers plastic moving boxes to accommodate different types of items and packing needs such as moving and storage.

Boxes

Blue Bins Plastic Bins

Our plastic moving boxes are sturdy, reusable, and environmentally friendly. They are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, which is durable and resistant to impact and water. Blue Bins plastic moving boxes are designed to protect your items during transit.

Additionally, plastic moving boxes are more eco-friendly than traditional cardboard boxes since they can be reused multiple times and are recyclable. By using plastic moving boxes from Blue Bins, you can reduce your environmental impact and protect your items during your move.

Estimated # of Boxes Needed

You can use our simple rate chart to find out the number of boxes you will need based on how many bedrooms you’re moving. The estimates are based on industry standards and are intended to provide a general idea of the number of boxes required for your move.

However, keep in mind that the actual number of packing boxes needed may vary based on the number and size of your items, how much you plan to pack, and other factors. We recommend that you order additional packing boxes to ensure that you have enough for your move.

Packing Paper & Bubble Wrap

Our packing paper is a clean and unprinted newsprint paper that is used to wrap fragile items such as dishes, glassware, and other delicate items. The paper helps to protect your items from scratches, scuffs, and other damage during transit and is available in bundles of 25lb.

Our industrial grade bubble wrap is a transparent plastic roll with small air-filled bubbles that can be used to protect your items from impact during transit. The cushioning roll can be wrapped around your items to provide an extra layer of protection and prevent damage during transport.

Bin Ties/Cable Ties

Our bin ties can be used to secure the lids of your plastic packing boxes, ensuring that your items stay in place during transit. The ties are made from durable plastic and are easy to use, providing an additional layer of security for your items.

Labels

We sell self-adhesive labels that can be used to identify the contents of your plastic packing boxes. The labels are available in different colours and can be easily attached to the packing boxes, making it easier to keep track of your items during your move.

Moving Pads

Our moving pads are made out of cotton with double stitch binding and feature shock absorption to protect your furniture and other large items during transit. They can be easily wrapped around your items, providing an extra layer of protection against scratches, scuffs, and other damage.

Packing Tips

Let’s review some valuable tips and advice for packing and moving to help make your transition smoother. From choosing the right type of box for your items to expert packing techniques, here is the guidance you need to pack up your belongings with confidence.

How to Properly Pack Boxes for Moving

When packing boxes for moving, it’s important to choose sturdy boxes like the plastic Blue Bins ones that can hold the weight of your items. Start by packing heavier items on the bottom and lighter items on top and use bubble wrap or packing paper to protect fragile items. Label each box clearly with the contents and which room it belongs in and avoid overpacking boxes to prevent damage. Finally, use a dolly or hand truck to move heavy boxes, and enlist help if needed to avoid injury.

How to Properly Pack Wardrobe Boxes

Wardrobe boxes are perfect for moving clothing on hangers without having to take them off. To properly pack a wardrobe box, start by packing shoes, hats, and other accessories in the bottom. Then, hang clothes on the hanger bar, making sure to evenly distribute weight and avoid overpacking. Finally, label the box clearly with the contents and which room it belongs in, and use a dolly or hand truck to move the box easily.

How to Properly Pack Your Kitchen for Moving

When packing your kitchen for a move, start by decluttering and donating items you no longer need. Then, pack dishes and glasses vertically with plenty of bubble wrap or packing paper in between. Use dividers or packing paper to protect pots and pans and consider using plastic bins for bulky items like mixing bowls or appliances. Finally, label boxes clearly with the contents and which room they belong in and avoid overpacking boxes to prevent damage.
